• 21,000 Muskets from England, 129 canons from Bermuda, and weapons from Austria were amongst the arms delivered to the South from the outside world.

• This global trade was a big concern for the Union army; they concluded that the best course of action was not to try to disrupt the activities from sea, but, to stop it from land.
