We learn that many soldiers in the U.S. Army were used as guinea pigs in army-conducted experiments using bombs. Many of these soldiers would develop cancer, as well as many other diseases and disorders – and ultimately spending their last hours in cancer wards at Army hospitals.

• Another situation in which residual affects of a nuclear explosion would take place was in Prypiat, a city in Ukraine that was adjacent to Chernobyl – the site of the Chernobyl power plant explosion in 1986. Prypiat has long been abandoned due to the radioactive emissions still felt today in the region surrounding the city of Chernobyl.
