Lion

  by Staff Editor

Most people know cats as solitary creatures, content to go about their existence on their own. The lion is an exception in the feline family. Lions have developed an extensive social network called the pride. Most prides are female-centered, with between five and 10 members sharing such duties as gathering food and taking care of cubs. The members are usually related female lions with their young and two or three males who protect the pride.
