What is Global Warming?

[04-16-2009 10:38 PM] : I think that this isn't global warming it's just an environmental change that our planet has gone through a couple of times before. We had a period of intense heat. That was when dinosaurs and other now extinct animals roamed. We also had an Ice Age, a period of intense cold temperature. I feel that maybe pollution is only making it worse but that this whole global climate change is a normal phase in the Earth's cycle as a planet that can support life.

[02-08-2010 10:49 AM] : The earth has gone through these changes of intense heat and cooling, but this heating period has been in action, for about 100 years, when normally, for the earth temperature to rise one degree F would take 500,000 years. because of our society and what we are doing to the earth, we have decreased the amount of time between the heating and cooling periods. due to this, the animals can not evolve fast enough to meet the new standards they must meet to live. therefore, they die of. go extinct.
