Antelope

  by Staff Editor

Like the deer, antelopes have horns, though in some species they are only visible on the male. An antelope’s horns are made of bone encased in a hard material made largely of keratin. In contrast to the deer however, an antelope’s horns are permanently fixed, whereas the deer’s are shed each year.
